Data checksReview source rows before updating prices
Read the numbers correctly. Gross margin = (selling price − supplier cost) ÷ selling price. Suggested selling prices round up to 2 decimals. Add freight, duties, discounts and other costs before making a pricing decision.
“—” means a value cannot be calculated or was not supplied. A change from zero cost has no percentage. Missing selling prices leave margin blank. Duplicates are held for review, never silently merged.
Prepare a CSV that compares cleanly
One row per SKU
Both files need a unique SKU and a supplier cost column. Column names may differ. The previous file can include your current selling price.
Plain numeric prices
Use 12.50 or 12,50 and choose the matching decimal format. Leave out currency symbols and thousands separators. Negative prices are flagged.
Export from your spreadsheet
Save Excel or Sheets files as UTF-8 CSV first. Comma, semicolon and tab delimiters are detected from the header. Preserve leading zeros in SKU columns.
